Are you having trouble with your squeeze page? The whole idea behind a squeeze page can be defined as a yes or no sign up page. That means you need killer ad copy and a proper structure to get people to sign up to your mailing list. So this article will provide you with some valuable information that your may or may not be doing on your squeeze page. Your freebie really has to be something special and really go overboard with this. You want people to think I got all this for free. What else can this person help me with?
Obviously, before we begin there has to be a want or demand for your offer. If there is no problem then your chances of getting people to sign up go down the drain. You’ll just be wasting your time. Assuming you have done your keyword research and checked around on Yahoo Answers, Google groups, and the forums you should have a pretty good example of a niche you can drill down on and create a solid squeeze page for.
Once you do that your squeeze page needs to be short and to the point. The title tag should contain the keywords/problem that people are having. For instance, lets say you are going into the how to keep rabbits out of your garden niche. Your title would want to be something like:
“Learn How To Keep Rabbits Out of Your Garden”
“Don’t Believe what Others Tell You It’s Simple As 1-2-3″
Below make a list of potential reasons rabbits are getting into your garden. I have found that telling a story or making it as personal as you can will help people subscribing to your squeeze page. Again, make it clear to the point and personal. Not over the top, but like a real person that cares.
It helps to have a video or something highly relevant to keeping rabbits out of your garden. That or an awesome infographic on it will keep people’s attention longer which is your goal because they’re either going to sign up or click the x button and move on to something else.
Remember to have a privacy policy which Aweber has installed on it. In short you are going to put a picture of the freebie or giveaway right above the sign up. Try to make it look as professional as possible. If you can’t design it yourself go to oDesk or Elance and you can easily find someone who can do the job for cheap.
Remember no links to anything else on the squeeze page. There is your Ad copy and infographic or video , and then your opt-in with something like, “All you need to do is sign up for FREE and such and such is yours instantly“
There are a number of places out there that will provide you with templates, both free and paid for your landing pages. You should make sure that you have no holes on the page. Visitors either sign up or don’t.
Split test your landing pages and ask your more experienced marketing buddies to criticize it. Go to the forums to get critiques on your squeeze page, too.
It make take a couple of tries finding out what works and what doesn’t, but all and all having a perfect squeeze page can pay you residual income for a long time.

Hi Enstine

I found your blog while visiting Adrienne’s blog and I am glad I found you
I always like to use a plain/simple squeeze page as I think if it’s too long or fussy then people will click away as they will get bored scrolling down if it’s too long and get distracted from opting in if it’s too fussy.
Thanks for sharing, hope you have a great day.

Hi Enstine,
Knowing how to handle squeeze pages right is what separates internet marketers who make money from those who don’t.
My advice for squeeze pages includes taking off the sidebar so your prospect can be focused on the action you want them to take.

Hey Yeremi,
You are right especially if the sidebar is not fully part of the squeeze page. There should be no distractions at all.
Thanks for coming on today bro. Hope the week has been good for you
Hey Enstine,
This is an area I’ve yet to venture into. But, I was over on a friend’s blog earlier this week and she’s taking a course from John Thornhill and she outlined everything that needed to be included on a successful squeeze page. Pretty good outline and it matches up with some of what you’re sharing here.
I don’t even want to think about venturing into this yet but I know I will in the near future. It’s inevitable.
Thanks for the heads up!
~Adrienne
